HP Labs China is now seeking global talents to fill open Research positionat all levels (senior and junior) in the research area of networking and
mobility.
We are looking for exceptionally talented researchers from China, North
America, Europe and other parts of the world to work on exciting problems.
We conduct fundamental and applied research that advances the state-of-the-
art while driving significant business impact for HP networking business
units.
HP Labs China is a part of the Networking and Mobility Lab (NML) of HP Labs,
which conducts fundamental research in areas of networking, communications
and mobility. Key areas of research include Software Defined Networking (SDN)
and communications technologies, to enable bandwidth, speed and latency for
extreme data volumes; cloud network controller and management systems;
seamless mobility solutions, empowering mobile users with simple, cloud-
assisted ubiquitous connectivity services; and mobility research that
provides mobile device and persona management, and disrupts the economics of
apps and user experiences in the enterprise.

Research areas include (but are not limited to):
- Mobile networks, systems, and applications
- Wireless networking (WLAN, wireless mesh, ad-hoc and sensor networks)
and applications
- High-performance networking algorithms (routing table design, IP lookup,
packet classification, deep packet inspection)
- Software-defined networks
Candidates are expected to hold a Ph.D. or Master degree in Computer Science
or related disciplines with a solid background and strong publication record
in a research field related to the aforementioned areas. We are looking for
candidates with strong research and system building skills, and with a
strong interest in getting their research innovations into the real world
through the products and services of the world's largest IT company.
