In order for better support for this product line, Freescalebuilds the design center in Shanghai with hundreds of engineers working for ICdesign, BSP software development, solution and application development,  as well as customer support. Freescale alsosetup the product marketing department in Asia for future product definition,roadmap and eco-system setup.  

Platform Validation teamis an essential functional part of MAD Platform and Applications department,responsible for Platform validation and Quality assurance from OS/BSP driversto Application/Multimedia framework and its Automation infrastructuredevelopment for all i.MX series SoC software and reference designs.  The major responsibility of this teamincludes:

·        Review programPRD and SRS, and create platform validation plan for relevant deliveries.

·        DevelopTest case and tools for relevant Linux BSP drivers, Multimedia framework,Android and Linux Applications.

·        Platformvalidation and present quality situation by test execution of differentreleases (multiple SoC, OS and HW boards).

·        Qualityassurance for the Platform deliveries like software and reference design.

·        Automationinfrastructure development to optimize efficiency of test execution andplatform development.

·        Key customersupport like feature analysis and issue reproducing.

Scope ofResponsibilities:

• Test Linux BSP drivers on FSL MAD     embedded chips on different Linux open source platforms  like Android, Ubuntu, etc
• Review SoC specs, SW specs to     understand the features and system.
• Design and     porting test application, tools or script to test SOC drivers on reference     boards.
• Design cases and use proper tools     to generate test streams according to MM requirements.(Codec)
• Create test plan, test     specifications and test cases.  
• Perform different test cycle for     Linux BSP, Codec, Performance and Android CTS. and submit bugs to CQ     system.
• Give analysis to the issue’s root     cause and communicate with developers.
• Join in customer support in issue     analysis, bug reproduce and answer questions when needed.
  

Specific Knowledge/Skills:

-   2nd year of postgraduate student or 4nd year of bachelor student

-   Major in EE or Computer Science.

-   Basic understanding of the systemarchitecture of Linux kernel or Android.

-   Experience in Linux BSP developingor Android tools or game’s APK developing.

-   Experience in at least oneprogramming language, like C++, Java, Javascript, etc.

-   Familiar with script, like Bash,Python, Ruby, Perl.

-   Understanding to test methodology,test cycle, process is a plus.

-   Understanding of codec is a plus.

-   Good English skills, able to readEnglish documentation and write emails, test cases in English.

-   Able to work under multi tasks andhigh pressure.

-   Good teamwork and communicationskills.
