Job Responsibilities

              ·      Softwaredevelop/test on the cloud computing platform (Hadoop, Mapreduce…)

·       Helping on the investigation, prototyping and implementation ofthe automationframework.

·         Write automation test scripts for cloudcomputing related projects.

·         Analyze, investigate and triage the issuesfound by testing.

·         Work closely with other QA team members toensure the quality of our products

Requirements:

·     Bachelor or master’s degree in Computer Science orequivalent majors.

         ·      Being able to take parttime job for a year (or at least more than 8 months)

·         Experienced in Java, Python, and/or shellscripting

·         Familiar with linux development environment.

·         Having the basic knowledge for virtualmachine (vSphere) and some build tool, such as ant or maven is stronglydesired.

·     Basic understanding for cloudcomputing, hadoop and the eco system is a big plus.

·         Fluent English.

·         Smart, diligent, good personality.

GENERALSUMMARY

The EMC China COE (Center Of Excellence)was founded on July 17, 2006, and has grown fast with three locations inShanghai, Beijing and Chengdu. Its key objectives are to provide advancedsoftware and hardware development and quality assurance for EMC businessoperations, as well as to supply world-class products and services forcustomers worldwide.

This is an intern position which will operatethe validation of various firmware (UEFI BIOS/POST, BMC/IPMI etc) and develop automationtest suite for EMC storage systems.

The position will have extensiveinternational cooperation with US teams, and also provides excitingopportunities to learn and hands-on practice the cutting-edge technology inserver/storage industry nowadays.

PRINCIPALDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

·          Execute tests, analyze test  results, and report out under instruction from mentor    ·          Work together with design  engineers to debug issues.    ·          Cross functional engagement. Interacts cross functionally on matters that require coordination  across organizations.

Requirementsand Skills:

·        Minimum attendance is noless than 4 days per week. Full time attendance commitment is preferred.

·        Practical experience in Python is a good plus.

·        Backgrounds in hardware/software design or validation is agood plus.

·        Self-motivated with strongdesire to learn and practice. Follow instruction from mentor. Proactive team player.

·        Knowledge of BMC/IPMI or UEFIdesign/validation is big plus.
