Do you love the challenges of working with systems that host petabytes of data and many tens of thousands of cores? To study, benchmark and push the performance and scalability limits of these massively distributed and scalable systems? Working at these problems requires solving many technical challenges in the areas of Hadoop, parallel and distributed computing, operating systems, virtualization, data storage, platform architecture and computer network. We are looking for an intern who have a wealth of passion with complex software systems, distributed systems and performance optimizations.
Qualifications:
* BS or MS in Computer Science or related technical discipline (or equivalent), the internship could last at least one year, could be in office at least 4 days per week.
* A solid foundation in computer science, with strong competencies in computer system internals, data structures, algorithms, and software design.
* Strong problem solving skills and a quick learner on those emerging technology.
* Experience with Unix/Linux is a plus.
* Experienced on large-scale web, cloud and/or Big Data framework or applications (like openstack, Hadoop, Spark) is a big plus.
* Active open source community contributor is a plus.
* Fluency in English (reading and writing).
